WHY YOU MAY BE HEARING FROM US

DOES YOUR HOUSEHOLD FIT ONE OF
THESE 3 PROFILES?

There are 3 common reasons a California homeowner may be included in our outreach: CARE participation, Medical Baseline participation, or higher household electricity usage.

01 / CARE

Currently receiving a CARE energy discount through your electric utility.

02 / MEDICAL BASELINE

Receiving an additional energy allowance for a qualifying medical need.

03 / HIGH-USAGE HOUSEHOLD

Your household consistently uses a higher amount of electricity and may benefit from reviewing available home-energy options.

FIT THE CUSTOMER PROFILE? THE NEXT STEP IS THE PROPERTY.

Your customer profile is the first step. Now we need to determine whether your home meets the property, electrical, energy-usage and provider requirements for an available home-energy option.

WHY HOME BATTERIES MATTER

WHY DOES YOUR UTILITY WANT BATTERIES ON HOMES?

California's electric grid experiences its greatest strain when thousands of homes need large amounts of electricity at the same time.

YOUR HOME: A home battery can store energy at your property.

YOUR ENERGY: Stored energy can help reduce how much electricity your home needs from the grid during high-demand periods.

GRID SUPPORT: When enrolled in an applicable Virtual Power Plant program, participating batteries can also help support the electric grid during qualifying grid events.

This is why California utilities are working with residential energy providers on battery and Virtual Power Plant programs — helping qualifying homes become less dependent on the grid during periods of high demand.

BATTERY BACKUP

Store energy at your home and have backup capability for selected household needs during qualifying outages, based on system configuration.

LOWER ENERGY RATE

Qualifying homeowners may receive an available home-energy option designed to provide a lower energy rate than their current applicable utility rate.

NO SYSTEM PROPERTY LIEN

The program structure presented here does not require a system property lien. Final offer terms apply.

PROVIDER MAINTAINED

System monitoring, maintenance and applicable equipment support are handled through the provider arrangement.

Who installs and maintains the home energy system?

Installation, system monitoring and maintenance are handled through the applicable provider arrangement. Specific equipment and service terms are confirmed during the qualification and review process.

Yes. Participating homeowners remain connected to their local electric utility. The home battery and energy system do not replace the utility connection.

How does the 3.5% annual adjustment work?

The energy payment includes a scheduled 3.5% annual adjustment during the 25-year term. This allows the payment schedule to be established in advance.

Is every home guaranteed to qualify?

No. Eligibility depends on service territory, property conditions, energy usage, equipment requirements, provider approval and applicable program terms.

Does checking eligibility require me to enroll?

No. The initial eligibility check is intended to determine whether applicable options may be available for the property. Completing the check does not require enrollment.
